You could be getting a conflict between the two.

  • Since Windows tends to be finicky about being the primary OS installed on a computer, it will not hibernate if it detects that the partition marked for startup on the first

The other link you gave me just led to an infinite Do Loop. After I read your post and checked my bios settings and sure enough, the configuration had changed from IDE to AHCI.
