Now I can access KVM from a recent PC with java 1.8 (windows and Linux) and I just need to repeat these steps to another server. fyi - pc3 has a DVI to 15 pin sub d adapter which is working fine into the KVM switch and I'm getting a feed to the monitor. Maybe it won't help but might point you in the right direction. No more monitors and keyboard spread all over the place!
