Solved: Having RAM Issues With New AMD Phenom II X4 And Gigabyte MA790X-UD4P

ACC auto option lets you unlock the disables core(s) only in unlockable CPUs. My CPU usage is 0-1% on my desktop, with no anti-virus, or any other program running except This browser (mozilla) I am using 3 Gigabytes of RAM. Ok, now for some specs. Thanks!". http://visu3d.com/solved-having/solved-having-trouble-with-over-clocking-amd-phenom.html

I tried that gpu on two different asus boards and had the same results so had to send it back. I know for a fact that Memtest86 3.5 DOES NOT support 4GB or more when testing. The link you gave me is very helpful, though I am not considering a crossfire setup and I haven't enountered any blue screens though. The problem is that Mem Test fails with both sticks in dual channel at 1066.

Worked plenty fine @ddr3 1333, so stop advertising ddr3 1600! http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/BIOS_Model.aspx?ProductID=3038 __________________________________________________ _____________________ Very first thing, make sure you have one stick installed in each of the color slots closest to the processor. I have a Ga-MA790X-UD4P which to my understanding is the same thing as the UD4 just with a few moore little toys added to it. need some clock speeds voltages current mem timings.

Am I S.O.L. Please try the request again. I need a different motherboard with DDR3. Let me know if you have further issues.

or should I be looking for a diff cpu altogether? However the memory diagnostic software (windows 7 memeory diagnostic and memtest86+ do not show any errors with the modules). Please, hep. It worked much better with corsair ram. Not all cpu's will let you unlock the other cores.

Unfortunately i wasn't able to solve this problem. Let's figure out exactly if it's the motherboard or memory first before we think about which motherboard to exchange it for. Jul 7, 2009 at 8:35 PM #166 DeF! That would be faster but stable at least faster what your system can handle.

  • Do you have the bios updated to the final version (F3)?
  • I upgraded from a AMD Athlon 64 x2 4400+ and a Biostar NF520-A2.

Some motherboards may not be able to handle 127.5ns. http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/gigabyte-ga-ma790x-ud4-thread.87231/page-7 It passes single stick installed at 1066 ( both sticks independently). Also i have a AC Freezer 64 so those modules wont fit (i need something without large heatsinks). All above settings are correct..

dcataldo03-29-2011, 06:44 AMbe honest idk. In BIOS, make sure Memory Frequency is set to [x5.33] 1066 that is of course if your CPU frequency is 200. Then set DCTs Mode to [Unganged]. Thank you for your update and feedback GSKILL SUPPORT DeJuan N.

Thanks again. Of course, Gigabyte would never own up to the problem. Please check out our forum guidelines for info related to our community. his comment is here GSKILL TECH08-10-2009, 10:53 AMTry using 195ns for tRFC0 for DIMM1.

Did you experience high temperature issues with the locked processor (the unlocking should worsen these parameters as the heat generated by CPU increases)? I'll keep trying until you give up on me. Im really out of ideas as QVL on gigabyte's site for this mobo lists only 1 PC2-6400 (yes just one!!!) 2gb module but its not low latency one(geil modules with 5-5-5-15

ive noticed something weird..

Thank you!Actually, any information at this moment counts, as I am trying to figure out how to make the new system work and whether I won't have to return anything. and i have no errors in memtest or prime 95. it's going in a budget gaming machine, not with a big monitor. The Row Cycle Time was tested from 24T to 42T. weblink PS Don't know how long prime ran till failure, it had crashed and rebooted with in the hour I left it running.

i also disabled epp and manually set my memory to run at 800 mhz. it keeps crashing... Thank you GSKILL SUPPORT retsamradassaT09-30-2009, 06:01 PMI am still getting errors with prime95 with the latest F7 bios update running these 8GB of rams @ 1066. Negative values unlock lower power operations while higher values unlock better overclocking." Again that proves ACC was NOT intended for unlocking cores at all BUT just as it says!UNLOCK either lower

My problem is that when I set in the ACC menu the thing to hybrid. You may also want to test each memory module individually to make sure that none is defective and causing you issues. Since the two mainboards differ only in the CPU power section (4+1 in UD4 and 8+2 in UD4P) i think you should have no compatibility issues on a logic basis.
