I'm seeing 13 accounts in the Settings, but 19 account folders in Mail (not counting Local and Smart boxes, of which there should only be one of each). That should let you create a "stub" account for Skippy and then you can go into Account Settings for it and make the changes you want (servers, ports, etc.) for your Hi "ispalten" , before upgrading to windows 8, i was using windows mail. Check it to be sure. The server shouldn't be a factor as long as the username and password used to access it are different than any other account you have set up. If my choice is between "Inbox" or "All Mail", I would rather work with "All Mail" so that I can see my own responses in threads, and delete messages easier. Correction...

David, "mail box quota" means that it is FULL. I carefully enter them and it still doesn't recognize Gmail any longer. So, is there any way to unsubscribe, or otherwise get rid of, "Inbox"? (Simply unchecking it under "Susbcribe..." doesn't work.) Compacting is something that needs to be done regularly in any email program. Not sure, maybe someone else can direct you to it? all this happened after upgrading my existing computer to windows 8. It may be the way i've used the settings. The password problem is usually caused by corruption of 1 or more of these files: Cert8 Key3 Signons Those 3 working together store and remember passwords.
