Some of the workarounds include increasing cache size from options menu, restoring defaults from options menu, restarting application and clearing memory cache. If you are using windows platform, you can use DirectX mode. Fixed an issue where Google Earth would sometimes save incorrect ordering of elements in KML. In this case, you can fix it by installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86). So yeah, I don't think it's a daemon.

If you start IrfanView before copying your image to the clipboard, there is nothing in the clipboard to paste into IrfanView!
